- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly from level 1 onward due to range advantage; you can stack W passively on Garen every time he walks up to CS, and if he tries to Q engage you can E away before the silence lands or immediately after to avoid the full trade.
- Post-6 you win decisively — your R hard counters his R, and activating your R the moment he commits with Q will stun him mid-trade and let you burst him down or escape cleanly.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trade pattern is to auto-attack Garen to build W stacks while he walks up to CS, then when he has 2 stacks on him, use Q to add the third and proc the stun, following up with E-enhanced autos before he can disengage.
- Keep your E for escaping his Q gap-close rather than using it aggressively, since getting silenced mid-trade removes your ability to activate W or use R.
