LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Kennen's range and W passive stacks let him poke you down before you can close the gap; your only real window is landing Q to silence him before he can proc his W stun, but he can simply walk back and reset.
- Post-6, you still lose a straight 1v1 if Kennen has R available, as his R will interrupt your R spin and the AoE stun gives him enough time to burst you down or disengage safely.
How to Trade
- Your best trade pattern is to absorb a small poke, wait for Kennen to push up or misposition slightly, then Q in to silence him immediately — the silence prevents him from auto-attacking to stack W, so you get a clean W spin window.
- Never trade without Q leading, and disengage once the silence expires rather than staying in range of his E-enhanced autos.
Wave Control
- You want to shove the wave fast with E to deny Kennen free poke while you're CS-ing under his range advantage; a pushed wave forces him to either take tower damage or step up to CS, giving you a brief window to Q engage.
- Avoid slow-pushing or freezing near his side of the lane, as that just gives him a safe platform to poke you repeatedly with no risk.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk up to CS without Q available — Kennen will stack W on you through free autos and you will take a stun into a full combo with no way to respond.
- Many Garen players also mistakenly use R when Kennen activates his R, which is the worst timing since the AoE stun will cancel your R channel and leave you fully committed with no damage dealt.
