LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Zac due to his superior range on E and W sustain through passive blobs; he can poke you down before you engage and disengage safely if needed.
- At level 6 as Rhaast, you can win a 1v1 if you force extended trades by staying on top of him with Q dashes and sustaining through his burst with W healing, but you must avoid fighting in open river where his E knockup gives him full combo access.
- As Shadow Assassin at level 6, you have kill pressure only if you burst him before he lands E, since his passive blobs will sustain him through prolonged fights and you lack the healing to go toe-to-toe.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Zac most commonly runs a full clear starting Red Buff side, pathing through his three camps and looking to contest scuttle at level 3 with his E; he will then look for early ganks in lanes with CC to chain onto his own E knockup.
- Expect him to prioritize top and mid ganks early since his E through walls makes him extremely effective in those corridors, and he will often double-gank or countergank rather than invade you directly.
Invade or Not
- You should generally avoid invading Zac early because his passive blob sustain means he clears healthy and his E can catch you in tight jungle corridors where you cannot dash away cleanly with Q.
- If you want to invade, the optimal window is after he has used E on a gank and is returning to jungle around 5-6 minutes — target his buff on the opposite side of the map from where he ganked, as he will be low on blobs and unable to fight effectively.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use Q to dash into Zac without a clear escape route, because his E knockup into W slow will lock you in place long enough for him and his laners to collapse on you during a failed gank or invade.
- Overcommitting to trades when he has blobs on the ground is a critical mistake, as picking them up resets his sustain and turns a winning trade into a losing one.
