Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Naafiri wins most extended trades due to her packmates providing extra damage and her Q poke being difficult to dodge in lane; you lose levels 1-3 if she plays aggressively because your Q requires you to walk into her threat range and your W healing is not enough to offset packmate chip damage.
  • Post-6 as Rhaast, you can win extended fights through W healing and R sustain, but as Shadow Assassin your R burst is strong only if you can gap-close without eating her full combo first.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to use Q through minions or terrain to reposition unpredictably, then commit to a W cast to sustain back damage, and disengage before her packmates stack additional hits on you.
  • Avoid short trades entirely since her packmates win those; only trade when you can extend long enough for W healing to matter.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave consistently with Q to deny her the ability to freely poke you while you're last-hitting; a pushed wave forces her to farm under tower where her packmates are less effective in tight spaces.
  • Avoid letting the wave freeze near her tower since she can use the space to kite you and reset packmates freely.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk up to trade when her packmates are fully stacked and off cooldown — this is the single biggest mistake you can make because the extra bodies make her damage output disproportionate to her apparent health.
  • Always track her packmate count before engaging, and never use R as Shadow Assassin into a full-health Naafiri with packmates present unless you have a clear kill window.
