LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Hecarim unless you have a significant health advantage — his Q spam deals consistent damage and his W sustain keeps him healthy, while your damage output before form transformation is mediocre.
- At level 6, Blue Kayn can win a sustained 1v1 if you stack W properly and use terrain to reset E, but Red Kayn struggles against Hecarim's mobility and burst unless you land E through a wall to reposition and avoid his E knockback combo.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Hecarim will likely run a full clear starting Red or Blue buff into Raptors/Wolves, then contest scuttle at level 3 with high confidence given his speed and Q clear efficiency.
- Expect him to look for early ganks on pushed lanes around level 3-4, as his E makes him a strong early ganker who snowballs off kills to accelerate form stacking.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Hecarim early — his Q damage at level 2-3 in his own jungle with buff advantage will outdamage you, and his W sustain means he recovers faster than you.
- If you must pressure him, wait until after level 6 as Blue Kayn and target his second buff when you know his location on the opposite side of the map, using terrain to disengage if the fight turns unfavorable.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not attempt to fight Hecarim in open terrain at any point in the early game — his E knockback will interrupt your W channel and his Q poke will chunk you before you can stack enough damage.
- Avoid walking into his jungle without vision, as getting caught between camps by Hecarim with his movement speed advantage will result in a death you cannot escape.
