LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you are vulnerable to Locke's level 3 all-in because your only defensive tool is your range advantage and movement speed from your passive stacks — if you let Q marks stack on you, you have no reliable way to stop the E-W all-in from dealing significant damage.
- Post-6 your R completely flips the dynamic, as you can use it to negate his entire burst window and then punish him while he's overextended in melee range with no escape.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use your range to poke Locke down with autos and deny him from safely stacking Q on you, keeping enough distance that his E cannot reach you without telegraphing — if he does E in, immediately R to become untargetable and let his W true damage tick on himself while you reposition.
- Once he's low from his own W or from your sustained poke, you can all-in him with your empowered attacks, as his passive bonus damage requires him to be in melee range which is where you want to punish him.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to force Locke to CS under tower, which limits his ability to roam and use R for execution pressure on other lanes — your waveclear scales well and you can maintain lane priority more reliably than him in the mid-game.
- Avoid letting the wave freeze near your tower, as that gives Locke a safe environment to stack Q on you without threat of ganks and sets up his all-in at a moment of his choosing.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R preemptively or to dodge Q, because R is your only answer to Locke's all-in combo and wasting it on poke leaves you completely exposed to his full E-W burst — save it strictly for when he has committed with E and W is active.
- Also avoid standing at a health threshold where his R execution mark becomes relevant, as a well-placed R from Locke combined with sealed souls can execute you at surprisingly high health percentages if you've been ignoring the threshold buildup.
