Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Vex's W applies a fear that interrupts your dagger pickups and her passive punishes your dashes hard; post-6, you can theoretically all-in if her passive is on cooldown, but she can R into you and fear you mid-combo, making the 1v1 heavily Vex-favored unless she is significantly behind.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to throw Q to place a dagger, wait for Vex's passive to be consumed on a minion or your Q, then E onto the dagger and immediately E out before she can W-fear you; never commit to a full combo unless her W and passive are both on cooldown.
Wave Control
- Push the wave fast with Q and E to force Vex to use her abilities on wave rather than on you, then look to roam, because you will not win a sustained lane fight and your roam threat is your primary source of value in this matchup.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not E onto Vex when her passive is glowing, as it will trigger the fear on your dash and leave you completely vulnerable mid-combo with no escape; this single mistake turns a trade attempt into a death.
