Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the scuttle fight against Qiyana decisively — she has a dash, a knockback from her E, and burst damage that far exceeds your slow Q poke at that stage; avoid contesting scuttle unless she is already low or on the wrong side of the map.
- From level 6, you can threaten a 1v1 win only if you have stacked your passive and she has already used her E and Q combo, forcing her to fight you in a sustained damage trade where your passive and W slow keep her in range.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Qiyana will most likely start on the side opposite to you to avoid early interaction, then look to path toward scuttle at level 3 with full HP and resources.
- She favors a fast clear with her Q element-switching to maintain health, then immediately contests river objectives or looks for an early gank on a pushed lane.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Qiyana at any standard timing — she wins all early 1v1s before you have items, and her E gap-close punishes any misstep in tight jungle corridors.
- If she is clearly farming the opposite side of the map, you can steal her buff at approximately 3:15–3:30 by entering from a safe angle, but retreat immediately rather than fighting her if she paths back.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still to channel your Q in melee range of Qiyana expecting to out-trade her — she will E onto you, burst you down, and disengage before your passive deals meaningful damage.
- Avoid over-committing to scuttle or objectives without vision of her location, as she can appear from river grass and kill you before your team can respond.
