Who Wins
- Pre-6, Veigar + Poppy win the 2v2 — you have no mobility, Poppy's E pins you into walls for free, and Veigar's E cage keeps you stationary while both deal damage.
- Post-6, your R gives global pressure and changes the macro game, but the 2v2 in lane still favors them because Poppy's R can interrupt your R channel and Veigar's cage prevents your passive from being useful.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to stay at max W range to slow them and zone, then use Q to poke when they step up — never walk into melee range of Poppy because she will pin you and you have zero escape tools to survive the follow-up.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave with Q to deny Veigar stacks on minions and maintain enough lane priority to back safely; letting the wave freeze near their tower is catastrophic for you since you cannot escape Poppy's engage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never stand still to channel R when Poppy has her R available in lane — she will interrupt it instantly, and you will have wasted your only game-changing tool while remaining in a losing position.
