Who Wins

  • You win pre-6 through superior poke with Q and shield negation of Vel'Koz damage, plus better 2v2 setup with W root.
  • Post-6 you lose extended fights to Vel'Koz R and Aphelios weapon combinations, but can still win through picks and disengage.

Synergy & Trading

  • Lead trades with R-Q when Vel'Koz is positioning for abilities, then E your ADC for the shield and movement speed to dodge skillshots.
  • Use W on Aphelios when he's in Severum range to prevent lifesteal sustain during extended trades.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Roam after shoving waves level 3-5 when Twitch has item advantage and can 1v2 briefly.
  • Look for mid roams when Vel'Koz uses abilities to waveclear, as his long cooldowns create windows for successful ganks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't waste R on E shields against Vel'Koz poke, save it for Q damage when committing to trades.
