Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Zeri outpaces you in short trades and can disengage your W root with her mobility, making the 2v2 slightly favored for the enemy if Thresh lands a hook — you win extended fights only if Neeko lands her E root and you can freely stack Q.
  • Post-6, your R gives you kill threat across the map and your sustained DPS in a locked-down fight surpasses Zeri's burst window, so the 2v2 flips in your favor if Neeko has CC available.

Synergy & Trading

  • Let Neeko initiate with her E root, then immediately switch to Q Minigun and unload full auto-attack damage while the target is immobilized — do not waste time throwing grenades unless you need the slow to prevent Zeri from dashing out.
  • Avoid overextending into Thresh's hook range; trade from behind minions and let Neeko absorb or bait the hook before you commit.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave hard with Q Fishbones to poke and shove — Zeri has decent waveclear but you outpush her early if you commit to it, which forces Thresh to stay in lane rather than roam.
  • Once you establish a wave advantage, freeze near your tower to bait Thresh hooks into bad angles and deny Zeri farm under pressure.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not stand still to charge W when Thresh is alive and has his hook available — the root animation is long enough for him to land a guaranteed hook and set up a kill.
  • Respect Thresh's lantern-to-hook combo; if you get hooked and Zeri dashes onto you, you have no mobility to escape and will likely die.
