Pre-6, you and Zyra win this lane convincingly — Zyra's E root into your W trap is a reliable kill pattern, and Jinx cannot reposition out of it while Janna's tornado is too slow to consistently interrupt your setup.
Post-6, your R gives you a strong kill threat through Janna's shields since the fourth shot damage on a rooted target can burst Jinx even through a W shield, maintaining your lane dominance.

Your best trading pattern is to let Zyra land her E first, then immediately place your W trap on the rooted target to extend the lockdown, then walk up for your fourth shot — this three-step combo is your primary kill condition and deals more damage than Janna can shield in one rotation.
Use your E slow to prevent Janna from walking up to shield Jinx before your fourth shot lands.

Play for a slow, frozen wave near your side to force Jinx to walk into Zyra's plant range to farm — Zyra's zone control is maximized when the wave is static and she can pre-place plants.
Avoid hard pushing since Jinx's Q rockets will shove the wave faster than you can, which removes Zyra's setup time and lets them play safer.

Do not waste your W trap randomly — it is your primary kill-confirm tool and should only be placed on a target already rooted by Zyra's E.
Never use your R when Janna still has her Q or R available, as she will cancel your channel and waste your most important cooldown.
