Who Wins

Pre-6, you lose the level 1-2 window because Ashe outranges your autos and Vel'Koz's Q poke is safe and consistent; at level 3 your W root becomes your primary tool but Ashe's W slow makes it hard to land without Senna setting it up first — post-6, your R gives you kill threat at distance but Ashe's R counters your positioning by initiating from fog before you can use your 4th shot.

Your optimal trading pattern is to bait Vel'Koz into using his Q or E, then immediately root Ashe with your W so Senna can land her Q — your 4th shot should be saved for when Ashe is slowed or rooted, not wasted on poke, as it is your highest damage window.

Push the wave aggressively when Vel'Koz is low on mana or has used his Q, as he is your primary wave-clear threat; a fast push forces Ashe under tower where her Q stacks are harder to build and Vel'Koz's long-range poke is less efficient.

Do not stand still to charge your 4th shot when Vel'Koz has his Q available — his Q knockup into Ashe's W creates a near-unavoidable CC chain that will delete you during your animation lock, so only commit to the 4th shot from a safe angle or after burning their CC.
