Pre-6, you and Poppy win most extended trades because your W root into Poppy's E-W combo is a strong kill threat, and Leona cannot freely engage without risking being knocked into the wall.
Post-6, your R gives you a reliable kill-confirm on anyone Poppy pins, but Vayne's E can interrupt your R channel if she gets close, so you need Poppy to peel.

Your best trading pattern is to land W root on Vayne or Leona first, then let Poppy follow up with her E knockback into a wall — your 4th auto and Poppy's W stun chain deal massive burst.
Never initiate with your Q bounce into a full Leona engage; you need the root to land before Poppy commits.

Push the wave consistently with Q bounces to force Vayne under tower, since Vayne is weak when she cannot freely kite.
Avoid shoving so hard that you lose vision control and get dove by Leona's R, which is a real threat if Poppy is caught out of position.

Do not stand still to fish for a 4th-shot crit when Leona has her E or R available — she will gap-close and lock you down before you complete the animation.
Your immobility is your biggest liability; always pre-position behind Poppy and respect Leona's all-in range.
