Who Wins
- Pre-6, you do not win a sustained 2v2 against Tristana because her range and attack speed outpace yours in extended trades, but at level 2 you can burst her with Nautilus's root chain into your W slow and 4th shot for a strong early lead.
- Post-6, you win the all-in decisively because your R combined with Nautilus's chain CC means Tristana cannot escape or retaliate effectively, and Yuumi's healing is irrelevant during a full lockdown burst.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best trading pattern is to let Nautilus initiate with Q, immediately land your W to slow Tristana in place, and then unload your 4th shot and R if available — you should never auto-trade freely against Tristana because her attack speed and range advantage will out-DPS you in a straight fight.
- Position behind Nautilus at all times to avoid being the primary target of Tristana's poke.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently with Nautilus to deny Tristana passive stacks and force her into a defensive position — a shoved wave limits her ability to freely poke with E and auto-attacks without overextending into Nautilus's engage range.
- Avoid freezing; a frozen wave near Tristana's tower lets her safely farm and stack while Yuumi heals any poke damage you deal.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R as a damage tool in isolation — save it for when Nautilus has already landed his CC chain, because a free Tristana can simply jump away from your R shots with her E, wasting your ultimate and leaving you vulnerable during the long cast animation.
