Who Wins
- You win most early trades levels 1-3 due to your E dodge negating Ornn's W damage and auto attacks, but Ornn becomes stronger in extended trades post-6 with his R setup potential.
- Post-6 becomes skill-dependent as Ornn's R-W-E combo can chunk you heavily, but you can still win if you dodge his R with good positioning or your Q.
How to Trade
- Jump on Ornn with Q when his abilities are on cooldown, activate E immediately to dodge his W fire breath, then auto-W-auto before backing off.
- Never trade when his W is available as the Brittle proc combined with his E knockup will out-damage your burst.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish priority since Ornn has poor waveclear without his W, but be ready to freeze when he gets stronger around level 6.
- Avoid slow-pushing into him as he can easily set up ganks with his R-E combo and has no mana constraints.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't Q onto Ornn when he has both W and E available, as he can W to become Unstoppable through your E stun, apply Brittle, then E-knockup you for a devastating trade.
- Never fight him in his minion wave early as his W will clear it while damaging you, giving him a significant advantage.
