Who Wins
- You lose levels 1-3 heavily due to Jayce's range and poke damage, but you become much stronger at level 6 with your full combo and ultimate's resistances.
- Focus on surviving the early levels and look for all-ins once you have Counterstrike maxed.
How to Trade
- You should use Counterstrike to block Jayce's auto attacks and then Q onto him when it's about to expire for guaranteed damage.
- Wait for him to use his hammer form abilities before committing, as his disengage tools have long cooldowns.
Wave Control
- You want to keep the wave frozen near your tower or let it slow push toward you to create longer trades in your favor.
- Avoid letting Jayce freeze on you, as he can poke you out of lane while denying farm.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You cannot waste Counterstrike defensively against poke, as it's your only tool to win trades and all-ins against Jayce.
- Don't chase Jayce through minion waves early game, as his AoE abilities and range advantage will result in unfavorable extended trades.
