Who Wins

  • Pre-6 you win at level 3 once you have Q-W-E because your E into auto-W-Q combo outdamages his early poke pattern and your passive stacks make you tankier in short trades; post-6 the matchup becomes more volatile since his R can deny your E engage, but if you bait his R or approach from a minion angle, you still win the extended fight with your superior sustained damage.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to stack your passive to 4 on minions before engaging, then E onto Yasuo when his Q tornado is on cooldown, immediately W to slow him, and chain Q resets to keep him locked in melee range where he cannot safely auto or stack his next Q; the goal is to never let him disengage cleanly once you commit.

Wave Control

  • You want to push the wave consistently to deny him the freeze setup he needs, then reset back to lane quickly; a pushed wave forces him to farm under tower where his E mobility is restricted and you can look for dive setups post-6 with your R providing the CC chain he cannot windwall.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not blindly E onto Yasuo when he has a tornado-charged Q ready and his R available, because he can R you mid-dash into a full combo that will kill you before your passive sustain matters; always bait his cooldowns with feints or minion positioning before committing to the all-in.
