Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and sustain, as your Q outranges all of Xin's abilities and heals you when hitting tentacles.
- Post-6 you heavily favor extended fights where your R creates multiple tentacles, but Xin can still win quick all-ins if he dodges your E.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is landing E on Xin then immediately following with W-Q combo while he's marked as a vessel.
- If you miss E, only trade with Q poke from max range and disengage immediately since Xin will win any extended melee trade without your vessel damage.
Wave Control
- Push waves early to establish tentacle positions around the lane, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tentacles.
- You want to fight in areas with 2-3 tentacles already spawned, as this maximizes your R value and zone control.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never fight Xin in open areas without tentacles, as his mobility and sustained damage will overwhelm you without your environmental advantage.
- Don't waste E when he has his dash available, as he can easily dodge it and then engage on you while it's on cooldown.
