Who Wins
- You lose early levels 1-3 as Riven can easily gap close and out-trade you before you have your full kit available.
- At level 6, you become the dominant force in 1v1s if you land your E and have tentacles positioned around the fight.
How to Trade
- You want to land your E (Test of Spirit) then follow up with W-Q combo while the spirit is active to maximize damage.
- Focus on hitting your Q through minions to poke her down and force her to respect your zone control.
Wave Control
- You should push the wave and establish tentacle control around your side of the lane, using your Q to clear waves efficiently.
- Maintaining 2-3 tentacles in your area makes you nearly ungankable and forces Riven to fight in unfavorable positions.
Mistakes to Avoid
- You cannot miss your E ability in crucial moments as it's your primary tool for winning trades and all-ins.
- Never use your ultimate defensively when low on health without hitting E first, as you'll waste the damage potential and likely still die.
