LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose to Kennen's range and poke unless you can land E to extract his spirit — without E landing, you take free damage and cannot retaliate meaningfully since he outranges your Q and auto attacks.
- Post-6, your R fundamentally shifts the matchup: if you land E first and R while his spirit is out, the tentacle storm shreds him, but he can R first to stun you out of your R setup or simply disengage with E before you can commit.
How to Trade
- Your best trade pattern is to bait his W proc by walking up, then immediately E him when he steps in to auto — extracting his spirit forces him to fight the vessel or concede the lane, and following up with Q on the spirit plus tentacle slams deals massive burst he cannot sustain through.
- Never initiate a trade without E landing first; auto-trading into his W stacks into stun is a losing exchange every time.
Wave Control
- You want a slow push into a large wave to threaten him under tower, because Kennen's wave clear is decent but he burns mana doing it, and a big wave forces him to choose between taking tower damage or stepping up into your E range.
- Avoid freezing since you have no reliable way to punish him at range and a freeze just lets him poke you for free with zero risk.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R reactively after he has already pressed his R — his stun from R will interrupt your tentacle empowerment window and you will waste your ultimate while CC'd.
- You must either R before he commits or disengage entirely, because fighting inside his R without your own R active is a death sentence given his AoE stun uptime.
