LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, Zed wins most direct trades at all early levels due to his superior burst pattern and ability to close distance with his W shadow; you cannot reliably punish him in short windows, and your combo setup is too slow to land cleanly against a mobile melee.
- Post-6, Zed's R gives him a kill threat on you almost every time he has it up, and your R shield only partially mitigates the burst if he plays the combo correctly with his shadow positioning.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to poke with your Q1 (Consuming Flame projectile) from max range while he is farming, then immediately disengage before he can W-in to retaliate; you should never commit to a full combo unless Zed has already used his W and it is on cooldown, as that is your only safe window to deal meaningful damage.
Wave Control
- You want to push the wave consistently using your Q3 (Tormented Soil) to shove minions fast, forcing Zed to farm under tower where his all-in is harder to execute; a slow, frozen wave near his tower is dangerous for you because it gives him a safe angle to W-dash in and trade without you having escape room.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand still to complete your full ability sequence when Zed has his R available — the cast time on your combos is long enough that he can land his full burst before you finish, and burning your flash reactively to his R is often too slow given the shadow delay mechanic.
