Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Wukong wins most short trades due to his E armor reduction and Q damage burst, but you can contest at level 3 if you stack Q stacks on minions first and engage with E to reduce his healing window.
  • Post-6, your R changes the dynamic entirely — you can engage from off-screen, knock him up, and sustain through his burst with your passive, making extended fights heavily favor you.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to use E to close distance and proc your passive movement speed bonus, then weave Q stacks while staying in melee range to deny him the ability to disengage safely.
  • Avoid short trades where he lands E and walks away — force extended fights where your Q sustain and passive healing outscale his burst.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave early to deny him the ability to poke you under tower safely, as your Q clears faster than his and forces him to either take tower damage or lose CS.
  • Once you have Sheen or Trinity Force, look to freeze near your tower to bait his aggressive W dashes into unfavorable extended trades.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not chase Wukong blindly after he uses W — his clone will absorb your abilities and he will reposition to punish your overextension.
  • Committing your E into his W decoy is one of the most punishing mistakes you can make, as you lose your gap-closer and he re-engages on his terms.
