Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight if you engage with E into Q spam, as your burst movement speed from E makes you nearly impossible to kite and your Q deals significant damage in a short window.
  • From level 6, you need to run Kindred down in tight jungle corridors where their kiting is limited — in open river or wide areas, Kindred's W passive stacks and Q dashes will outpace your sustained damage over a long fight.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Kindred will most likely start red buff side (bot-side) to secure an early mark on their own jungle camp, then path toward scuttle or look for an early gank on a vulnerable lane.
  • Expect them to prioritize farming their marked camps over aggressive early invades, as stacking W marks is core to their power scaling.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Kindred's opposite starting buff at level 3 if you have a read on their starting side — for example, if they start red, contest or steal their blue.
  • Your E gap-close makes you dangerous in tight jungle paths, and Kindred has weak dueling at level 3 without stacked W passive.
  • Avoid invading after level 6 unless you have a significant gold lead, as Kindred's R completely negates your all-in burst.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not chase Kindred into open areas or extended fights where they can freely Q dash and stack W passive — each stack increases their damage significantly and they will eventually outdamage you.
  • Committing to a fight that drags on without landing your E engage properly will result in you losing trades you should have won.
