LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly — your Q poke outranges all of Mordekaiser's abilities, your W gives you sustain to offset his passive aura damage, and your E lets you disengage before he can stack his passive to proc the aura.
- At level 2 you can establish a strong poke pattern with Q into auto, and at level 3 your full combo lets you trade aggressively and escape before he retaliates meaningfully.
- Post-6 you lose the 1v1 if he lands R — inside the Death Realm you have no escape from his E pull, he steals your stats, and his passive aura will outlast you in a sustained fight.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to throw Q from max range to poke him down, then only commit to a full E-Q-W-auto combo when he is below roughly 60% health and your E is up to guarantee an escape route.
- Never stand still after trading — immediately use your E to reposition away from his E pull range, as getting caught by his E into passive proc is how you lose trades you should win.
- Avoid trading when his W shield is visibly large, as he will absorb your burst and heal back a significant portion.
Wave Control
- You want to control the wave by using Q to poke Mordekaiser off CS rather than pushing aggressively — a slow push or freeze near your side of the lane keeps him in a position where he cannot safely walk up to you without eating Q poke.
- If you shove blindly, you give him a stacked wave to farm under tower while you lose your poke advantage.
- Use your E to dodge his E when he tries to engage, and keep the wave in a state where he is always the one forced to walk toward you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively into Mordekaiser as a gap-closer — if you E toward him, you remove your only escape tool and put yourself inside his passive aura range, which is exactly the extended fight scenario he wants.
- Your E is your most valuable defensive tool in this matchup and should almost exclusively be used to dodge his E or escape after a trade.
- Burning E offensively gives him a free window to R you with no counterplay available.
