Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win this lane clearly because your E-auto-Q burst combined with W sustain lets you trade favorably and recover HP that Jax cannot match; at level 2 you can already bully him out of CS if you land E aggressively.
- Post-6 the matchup flips — Jax's R gives him enough tankiness and sustained damage to outlast your burst, so you must avoid prolonged all-ins and instead use your R to disengage or set up ganks rather than trying to kill him solo.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to E into Jax, immediately auto-Q to proc your passive for the damage reduction and burst, then back off before his E activates or his passive stacks accumulate — short trades heavily favor you because your damage is front-loaded and his scales with time.
- Use W proactively between trades to sustain back to high HP so Jax can never find a favorable window to all-in you.
