- Pre-6, you win most direct trades because Locke needs Q stacks built up before committing, and your Q silence disrupts the setup window entirely — if you engage before Locke has 2–3 Q stacks on you, you out-trade cleanly since your W passive regeneration and natural tankiness outpace Locke's poke damage in short exchanges.
- Post-6, the matchup becomes significantly more dangerous because Locke's R can mark you for execution and the W true damage bypasses your W damage reduction, meaning a fully committed Locke combo with stacked Q marks can kill you even through your defensive tools.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to walk up and force a trade the moment Locke throws Q but before they can stack it to 3 — use your Q silence immediately to prevent E blink follow-up and auto-attack chains that consume nail stacks, then spin W through the trade to sustain through the on-hit magic damage.
- Avoid extended back-and-forth poke wars because Locke's passive scales harder the lower your health drops, turning a winning trade into a losing one if you let the fight drag on near half HP.
