Who Wins
- Pre-6, Naafiri wins most direct trades because her passive generates packmates that add significant burst damage, and her E gap-close into Q combo outdamages your Q poke at close range.
- Post-6, you gain a meaningful advantage through R barrel combos that can burst her before her packmates can sustain the fight, but only if you have barrels pre-placed.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to Q poke from max range to chip her down while she has no good way to engage without burning E, then punish her E cooldown window with a barrel chain if she overextends.
- Avoid extended melee trades entirely — her packmates make short trades heavily favor her, so your damage must come from barrels and Q, not auto-attack exchanges.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently to deny her the ability to all-in you under tower pressure, since she needs open space to maximize packmate damage and her E mobility.
- Use barrels to control the wave and zone her off CS; a slow-pushed wave into your tower is dangerous because she can dive you with R and packmates.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E reactively to cleanse her Q slow and then immediately walk back into her range — she will re-engage before your E comes back up and you will have wasted your only escape tool.
- Saving E for her E gap-close is critical; burning it early on a Q slow is one of the most common ways to die in this matchup.
