Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you win trades by poking with Q from range and using your barrel combos to chunk him before he can stack his passive — he needs 3 hits to proc his passive aura, so short trades where you Q and disengage deny him the sustained damage he needs.
  • Post-6, you lose the 1v1 decisively if you get ulted: he steals a percentage of your stats and you lose your barrels, your oranges only cleanse the CC briefly but do not remove you from the Death Realm, making extended fights heavily in his favor.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is to place a barrel at max range, Q him to proc the barrel, then immediately disengage before he can stack his passive or land his E pull — the barrel combo deals significant burst damage without requiring you to stay in his melee range.
  • Never commit to an extended trade; your sustained DPS in a prolonged fight is lower than his passive aura damage, and if he activates his W shield into healing, you cannot out-sustain him.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave consistently with barrels to deny him the slow-push setup he wants, and use your barrel chains to poke him under tower rather than fighting him in open lane.
  • Avoid letting the wave sit in the middle of the lane, as that gives him a comfortable position to walk up, stack his passive on you, and force a trade on his terms.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your E (orange) reactively to cleanse his E pull and then immediately re-engage — it does not remove you from his R, and wasting your cleanse before he ults means you enter the Death Realm with no escape tool.
  • Also avoid fighting him when his W shield is fully stacked, as he will absorb your burst and convert it into healing, completely negating your all-in attempt.
