LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Kayle's E empowers her auto-attacks with range and on-hit damage that outpaces your barrel combos at early levels; you can win short trades by landing a barrel under her feet and immediately using W to disengage before she can stack her passive.
- Post-6, you gain meaningful agency through R's invulnerability window, but Kayle also hits her R at 6 and can negate your barrel burst entirely, so neither side has a clean kill window unless one player is significantly ahead.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to place a barrel at max range, bait her into walking onto it, then Q the barrel and immediately W out — never commit to a prolonged auto-attack exchange because her E range advantage and passive stacks will out-trade you over time.
- Use W not just for healing but specifically to cleanse her E slow, which is critical for escaping her follow-up damage after she lands her Q.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze or slow-push the wave near your tower early to deny her the safe farm she needs to scale, because Kayle is extremely item and level dependent and a starved Kayle is a non-threat.
- Avoid letting the wave crash into her tower freely, as she can use the minion wave to safely stack her passive and farm without engaging with you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R reactively after you are already deep in her damage — R has a cast time and she can time her burst around it; instead, use R proactively when you commit to a kill attempt or when her R is on cooldown.
- Wasting barrels in the wave without a clear trade opportunity is also a critical mistake, as your damage pattern collapses entirely without stacked barrels available.
