LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose this lane clearly — Jayce's range, poke, and burst combo outclass your short-range pattern, and your W removes slows but does nothing to reduce the raw damage of his E+Q.
- Post-6, the matchup shifts meaningfully: your R gives you global pressure and your barrel combos with Sheen start to threaten him in short windows, but you still need to respect his range and cannot fight him freely.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to bait his E in cannon form by walking up slightly, then punish the cooldown window by placing a barrel chain and detonating it with Q when he's in melee range or has no escape; a single barrel+Q crit with Sheen proc can force him to back or burn summoners.
- Avoid extended trades where he can freely poke you in cannon form — your damage window is short and requires setup.
Wave Control
- You need to control the wave by slow-pushing it into a large wave, which forces Jayce to either take a bad all-in or lose CS under tower; a big wave also gives you cover to place barrels more safely since he has to respect the minion damage.
- Avoid letting him freeze the wave near his tower, as that gives him a safe poke angle with no risk of you all-inning him.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use W reactively to just cleanse a slow — save it for when you are about to take a full E+Q combo, as the damage reduction is what matters, not just the slow removal.
- Never place barrels predictably in the same pattern; Jayce will simply walk around them or poke you during the setup, wasting your cooldowns and leaving you vulnerable.
