LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you lose the straight 1v1 against Briar if she gets on top of you with her E, because her passive sustain negates your poke damage and she out-damages you in a prolonged melee exchange — your only winning condition is using your E to dodge her E engage and then trading short burst patterns.
- From level 6, you win the 1v1 by baiting her R activation, waiting for her to commit, then using your E to dodge her primary damage window and immediately retaliating with your full combo while she is repositioning.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Briar typically starts Red Buff and paths through Raptors into Wolves, looking to contest scuttle at level 3 with her strong early skirmish power — she will often look for an early invade or counter-gank if she identifies your position.
- Expect her to path aggressively toward whichever side of the map has priority, as her kit rewards her for finding early fights rather than farming passively.
Invade or Not
- You should not invade Briar early unless you have precise information that she is low health or on the opposite side of the map — her passive sustain means she recovers quickly between camps, and she will almost always win a straight 1v1 duel at her own jungle camp at early levels.
- If you do invade, do so only at level 3 or later with vision control, targeting her second buff when she is mid-clear, and immediately use your E to escape if she turns on you rather than trying to fight.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not waste your E defensively too early in the fight and then have nothing to dodge her follow-up damage — Briar's sustained damage pattern means she will simply run you down after your E is on cooldown, and burning it reactively rather than proactively to dodge her E engage is the most common mistake that leads to dying to her.
- Manage your E cooldown as your primary survival tool and only use it when you are certain it will dodge her most impactful ability or escape her engage entirely.
