Who Wins
- Pre-6, Brand wins levels 1-2 with his range and passive burn damage, but at level 3 you gain the full Q-W-E combo which lets you burst through his health before his stun combo fully resolves — post-6, you win decisively because your R amplifies your burst and your E makes his R and W nearly impossible to land reliably.
How to Trade
- The optimal trade is to wait for Brand to commit a W or E, then immediately Q onto him to close the gap, proc W, and E away before his passive stacks deal meaningful damage — never trade in extended fights where his passive has 3 stacks active on you.
Wave Control
- You want to shove the wave early to deny Brand his safe poke window, then reset and look for all-ins under his tower or in the river where his skillshots are harder to chain — a pushed wave also removes his ability to freely poke you while you're farming.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use E purely as a dodge tool and waste it before committing to a trade — if you E away from a W or Q without following up with an all-in, you've burned your only gap-close and Brand can freely poke you for the next several seconds.
