Who Wins
- Pre-6 you win clearly at all early levels because your range, passive burn, and W stun let you chunk Fizz before he can close the gap — post-6 the matchup flips significantly because Fizz's E makes your W and R unreliable, and his burst with R can kill you before your combo fully resolves.
How to Trade
- The correct trading pattern is to land E first to apply a passive stack, then W the ground where Fizz is standing to stun him, and follow with Q to extend the burn — never open with W as a standalone skillshot because Fizz will simply E through it.
Wave Control
- You want to keep the wave slightly pushed to force Fizz to farm under tower, which limits his all-in angles and forces him to walk through your poke to CS — if the wave bounces back to you, respect his level 3 and 6 power spikes and avoid standing close to minions where his R can bounce to you.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Fizz walk up to melee range without responding with a full combo — if you back off passively every time he approaches without trading, you give up all your lane pressure and he will simply shove you in and roam freely.
