Who Wins
- You win most trades pre-6 through Q poke, vital procs, and superior mobility to disengage before Jax can retaliate effectively.
- Post-6 you can still win if you parry his E stun or R proc, but lose badly if you miss the parry timing.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q in for vital proc, auto if safe, then immediately Q or walk away before Jax can activate E and trap you.
- Save W for his E stun or when he commits with Q-E combo to turn the fight.
Wave Control
- You want to maintain wave control in the center or slightly pushed to have room for extended trades and vital positioning.
- Avoid hard pushing unless you can recall, as Jax becomes dangerous when you're overextended without escape routes.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never waste your W on Jax's auto attacks or Q damage - you must save it for his E stun to have any chance in extended fights.
- Don't get baited into long trades when your W is on cooldown, as Jax will run you down with E and R.
