LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win this lane cleanly because your Q outranges Viktor's E and your E lets you dodge his W stun, which is his only reliable setup tool — Viktor has no answer to your sustained poke if you respect his E range.
- Post-6, Viktor's R creates a persistent threat zone that punishes you for standing still, and if he has augmented E, the aftershock makes trading inside his R extremely dangerous, so you transition to a poke-and-disengage pattern rather than all-ins.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to Q poke Viktor from outside his E range, track his W cooldown, and only commit to an extended trade when his W is down — without W, Viktor cannot stun you and his damage output drops significantly.
- Use your E defensively rather than aggressively; saving it to dodge his E or escape his R zone is far more valuable than using it to close distance into his threat range.
Wave Control
- Keep the wave in a state where you can farm safely from range — you don't need to shove aggressively, and doing so actually walks you into Viktor's W zone near his tower.
- A slow-push or even a freeze near your side of the lane forces Viktor to overextend for Hex Fragments, which is where you can punish him with Q poke or an all-in when his W is on cooldown.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E aggressively to close distance onto Viktor unless his W is confirmed on cooldown, because landing inside his W range with no escape tool means he can stack the stun and burst you with the full Q-E combo.
- Avoid standing in the same position for multiple Q casts — Viktor's W is slow to activate but covers wide areas, and a predictable position lets him pre-place it to catch your movement patterns.
