LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you have a clear edge because your E lets you engage on your terms and your W passive empowers your autos after hitting a target twice, but Cho'Gath's Q knockup is a hard counter to your dive pattern if you are not respecting its cooldown; post-6 the matchup becomes much harder because his R execute ignores your defensive tools and his R heal makes sustained fights increasingly dangerous for you.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait out his Q, then immediately E in, proc your W passive with two autos, and disengage before he can reposition for a follow-up; short burst trades where you enter and exit quickly are far more effective than extended fights where his tankiness and sustain overwhelm your damage.
Wave Control
- You want to freeze or slow-push the wave near your side of the lane to deny Cho'Gath safe Feast stacks on minions and force him to overextend to last-hit; denying his stacks limits his scaling and keeps him squishier longer, which extends your window of relevance.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R reactively to escape a bad trade and then immediately re-engage — your R is your primary safety valve against his R execute, and using it offensively or wastefully leaves you with no answer to his all-in when he has R available.
