Who Wins
- Pre-6, Ekko has a meaningful advantage at levels 1-3 because his E gap-close lets him trade aggressively before you can reliably land your Q knockup on a mobile target; post-6, your R gives you a massive power spike and the threat of an execute heal means extended fights heavily favor you, but Ekko's R can negate your burst if he uses it reactively.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use Q to zone Ekko away from minions and force him to respect the knockup threat, then follow with W slow to land E for the silence and auto-attack damage; never commit to a full trade unless Q lands, because without it Ekko out-damages you in short exchanges.
Wave Control
- Push the wave consistently with Q and E to stack Feast stacks safely, as your sustain from Feast lets you recover HP that Ekko cannot regenerate; a larger wave also punishes Ekko's roam attempts since you can shove and follow or take free tower damage on him.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not walk up to trade without Q available — Ekko's E into W combo deals significant burst and he will disengage before you can respond; burning your Q on a minion or missing it removes your primary threat and leaves you vulnerable to his all-in.
