Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Swain win this lane — your level 1 and 2 auto-attack damage with spinning axes is higher than anything Jinx can output, and Swain's E root at level 2 creates immediate kill threat on either target.
  • Post-6, you continue to win if you play around Swain's R sustain and avoid Pyke's R reset chain, which can snowball out of control if you give him a kill.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best pattern is to catch your axes aggressively to stack your passive, then trade when Swain's E is available — Swain roots one of them, you dump your stacked damage onto the rooted target, and you disengage before Pyke can hook you.
  • Never chase Pyke into a bush or narrow corridor where his Q hook becomes a guaranteed hit.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You want to shove the wave early with your high damage autos to create pressure and force Jinx under tower, where she loses CS and Pyke has no safe angle to hook.
  • A pushed wave also lets Swain roam or set up vision, and denies Pyke the brush access he needs to safely position for hooks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not drop your axes in a predictable pattern near Pyke — he will time his Q hook to catch you mid-reposition, and a hooked Draven with no axes is a dead Draven.
  • Manage your catch patterns so you're never moving toward Pyke's position to retrieve an axe.
