LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose extended trades against a stacked Irelia — her E stun into Q resets deal more damage than your passive proc and W shield can absorb, so you must play short trades and respect her level 3 power spike.
- Post-6, your R fundamentally changes the matchup by giving you a hard engage that bypasses her E range advantage, and a full R-Q-W-E combo can burst her before she can generate enough Q resets to sustain through it.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to proc your passive with Q, immediately use W to shield her retaliation, and look for short trades rather than extended fights — if she stacks her passive and goes for a full combo, your W shield alone will not save you.
- Post-6, the correct all-in is R into her when she has no E available, then Q-W-E to maximize burst before she can reset Q on minions to escape.
Wave Control
- You want to control the wave by using Q to poke and push, keeping the wave slightly in your favor so Irelia cannot freely stack her passive on minions without taking harass.
- Avoid hard shoving into her, as she will use the bouncing wave to stack passive and look for an all-in when you are pushed up and vulnerable to her E engage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your R as a pure escape tool when Irelia has her E available — she will E onto you mid-dash and stun you, negating your repositioning entirely.
- Saving R for a decisive all-in rather than a reactive panic button is critical, because wasting it defensively leaves you with no kill pressure and she will simply outscale you in a prolonged lane.
