LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6, you win most extended trades if you land your E to close the gap, as Sylas has no reliable escape and your W slow plus passive stacks punish him heavily; however, Sylas can sustain back with his W and poke you with his E-E chain, so you must respect his burst window at level 3 when he has all three abilities.
- Post-6, you generally still win if you can stack your passive to 5 before he can burst you down, but Sylas stealing your R is a serious threat — he gains a strong execute tool against you, so you must avoid fighting him at low HP.
How to Trade
- Force extended trades by landing E, immediately W to slow him, then auto-attack to stack your passive, and finish with Q to heal and deal max-range damage; never use Q as an opener because the outer edge heal is critical to sustaining through his W burst.
- If he tries to disengage after his combo, chase with Ghost or your passive slow and finish the trade — short trades heavily favor him due to his W sustain.
Wave Control
- Shove the wave early to deny him safe farm and force him to take poke under tower, as he has no strong wave clear pre-6 and struggles to last-hit safely when pressured.
- After level 6, consider freezing near your tower if you are behind, since fighting him in an open wave where he can freely use his E-E dash chain is dangerous.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not fight him at low HP under any circumstance post-6, because he will steal your R and execute you with it more effectively than you could use it yourself.
- Avoid walking up without your E available, as without the pull you cannot reliably stack your passive and he will simply disengage after his burst.
