Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight decisively if you can land W to pull Kindred into melee range — they have no reliable escape once pulled, and your passive stacks combined with Q heal sustain will outdamage their burst at this stage.
  • From level 6, you guarantee a 1v1 kill by stacking your passive to 5 quickly with E slow into auto-attacks, then executing with R before they can kite far enough away, but you must close the gap with W first or they will whittle you down from range.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Kindred will typically run a standard full-clear or a two-camp-into-scuttle path, prioritizing early Mark camps to stack their passive as quickly as possible.
  • Expect them to avoid direct fights early and instead look for skirmishes where they have terrain to kite around, or to contest scuttle with poke from range rather than committing to a full fight.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Kindred's marked camps aggressively once you hit level 3, as denying their Marks severely delays their power scaling and forces them into unfavorable fights or retreats.
  • The optimal timing is when you know their location on the opposite side of the map — walk into their marked jungle camp, clear or contest it, and force them to either fight you on your terms or fall behind on passive stacks.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not chase Kindred across open terrain or through jungle corridors where they can Q-dash repeatedly — their mobility over short distances is enough to stack poke damage on you while you cannot land W, and you will find yourself low before you realize it.
  • Commit to a fight only when you have terrain or a chokepoint that limits their Q dash angles, otherwise you are playing into their kiting gameplan.
