Who Wins
- Pre-6, you have a range advantage over Kai'Sa and can poke Rakan freely when he steps up, but Rakan's level 2 W-into-E combo can close the gap and force a trade you don't want if you're not respecting his dash range.
- Post-6, your R is a strong execute tool but Rakan's R can interrupt it mid-channel, so you rarely get clean R value unless Braum has already locked Rakan down.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to place E traps on Rakan's likely dash paths, then auto-poke Kai'Sa from max range — if Rakan dashes into a trap, the headshot proc on him or Kai'Sa with Braum's passive stacks is your window for a full trade or kill.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently with your range advantage to deny Kai'Sa farm under tower, where her short range makes last-hitting awkward — a slow push into a crash also creates roam windows for Braum without leaving you alone for long.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use R on Kai'Sa when Rakan is alive and mobile — he will simply dash to her and W-shield to absorb the shot, wasting your cooldown and potentially setting up their counter-engage.
