Who Wins
- Pre-6, you lose the 2v2 if Rakan engages on his terms — his E dash onto you or Caitlyn forces a trade where his W shield absorbs your Q poke and Kai'Sa follows up with passive stacks.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable engage tool that Rakan's kit cannot fully negate, but Rakan's R can counter-engage before yours lands if he reacts fast enough.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to Q a minion or Rakan to close distance, apply passive stacks with Caitlyn's autos, then W onto Caitlyn to block Kai'Sa's E dash or Rakan's follow-up — never initiate without Caitlyn already in auto range, as your damage contribution is near zero without her.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want a slow push into a freeze near your tower, forcing Rakan to either disengage or overextend to trade — Rakan's engage is far weaker when the wave is under your tower and he has no minion cover to dash through safely.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use W reactively to block every poke; saving it for Kai'Sa's E or Rakan's R engage is far more valuable, and burning it on a stray auto leaves you and Caitlyn exposed to the real all-in.
