Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Wukong if you engage directly — your passive sustain and E gap-close let you stick to him and out-trade through raw damage, but be cautious of his W clone escape resetting the fight on his terms.
- From level 6, your R is a guaranteed kill condition only if Wukong has already burned his W, since his W invisibility will cause you to lose your R target and potentially leave you overextended and vulnerable.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Wukong most commonly runs a standard full clear starting Red or Blue depending on side, then pathing toward Scuttle, with a potential early gank level 3 using his W to bait out abilities before his clone engages.
- Expect him to look for early skirmishes around objectives since his kit rewards short all-ins rather than extended fights.
Invade or Not
- You can invade Wukong at his second buff (around 3:15–3:30) if you started opposite side, as his W is on a long cooldown early and without it he cannot escape your E-Q chain reliably.
- Target his red buff side if he starts blue, and commit fully — half-committing against Wukong lets him W out and reset, leaving you low and behind.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not blindly R into Wukong without confirming his W is on cooldown — his W invisibility will break your R channel mid-cast, leaving you in a frenzy state with no target and no control over where you land.
- This is the single most punishable mistake you can make in this matchup and will consistently cost you kills or your life.
