At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Teemo if you close the gap immediately with your E before he can land Q, because a blinded Briar loses significant damage output and your W healing becomes less effective when you cannot auto-attack — engage decisively and do not let him poke you down to half health before committing.
From level 6, you win the 1v1 by using E to initiate from outside his E mushroom vision range, activating W immediately upon landing, and staying glued to him so he cannot reset auto-attack spacing, but you must avoid walking through pre-placed E mushrooms on the approach or the slow will allow him to kite you indefinitely.

Teemo in the jungle typically clears Blue > Gromp > Wolves or Red > Raptors at a slower pace than standard junglers, relying on W movement speed to reach camps quickly and E mushrooms to zone objectives — he will look to place mushrooms at scuttle and river chokepoints early and avoid direct confrontation, preferring to poke from range rather than contest fights.

You should invade Teemo's jungle around 3:30–4:00 when you hit level 3 with W active, targeting whichever buff he started opposite — his clear speed is below average and he cannot duel you in his own jungle if you engage before he has mushrooms pre-placed in the area.
The optimal location is his second buff camp, as he will likely have no E coverage there yet and no escape tool to disengage from your E gap-close.

Do not walk blindly into brush or narrow jungle paths without vision, as pre-placed E mushrooms will slow you and allow Teemo to kite you to death even if you would otherwise win the straight 1v1 — always approach from open terrain and respect that a single mushroom under your feet can completely negate your ability to stick to him.
