At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Rek'Sai because your W sustain and raw damage output outpace her burst at that stage, but you must engage on your terms — if she knocks you up with her E before you land your W bite, she can chunk you significantly and disengage safely through terrain.
From level 6, you win a 1v1 decisively if you can force a sustained fight in an open area where she cannot use her tunnels to reposition; your W healing and persistent damage will outlast her if the fight goes beyond the initial burst window.

Rek'Sai typically runs a full clear starting red or blue side depending on matchup, prioritizing early scuttle control around 3:15 and then looking to gank lanes with good knockup setups via her E; she will use her Q tremor sense to track you through walls and avoid unfavorable fights.
Expect her to path toward whichever side lane has a gank opportunity after first scuttle, and she will frequently use tunnels to create cross-map pressure rather than fighting you directly.

You should invade Rek'Sai at her second or third buff camp around 3:30–4:00 if you have a read on her starting side, because she has no strong duel answer to your W sustain at that point and her tunnels won't be fully set up yet.
The optimal location is her red buff or raptors on the opposite side of her start, where she will be low HP from clearing and you can force a fight before she can tunnel away.

Do not let Rek'Sai set up tunnels around the fight location before engaging, because she will use them to dodge your E knockback and reposition out of your W range, completely negating your damage pattern.
Avoid chasing her through terrain after she tunnels — you will waste your W duration running and arrive at low fury with no healing, which flips the fight in her favor.
