LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Nocturne if you can land your E to gap-close and sustain through his W passive auto-attacks with your W healing; however, if he activates his W to block your E dash or a key ability, your burst window is delayed and he can trade back effectively with his passive fear procs.
- From level 6, your sure win condition is forcing extended fights where your W healing outpaces his damage output — you need to engage with E, immediately toggle W for sustain, and not let him disengage, as your R makes repositioning and re-engaging trivial if he tries to run.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Nocturne typically runs a full clear starting Red Buff side, pathing Red > Raptors > Wolves > Blue > Gromp or the mirror path on Blue side, prioritizing a level 3 scuttle contest or a gank on an overextended lane by level 4.
- He will look to stack his passive quickly on camps and may invade your jungle after his first clear if he senses you are low HP or on the opposite side of the map.
Invade or Not
- You should invade Nocturne at his second buff around 3:15–3:30 if you started opposite sides, as he will be lower HP from clearing and your W sustain means you recover faster between camps than he does.
- The optimal location is his second buff (the one he clears after his first, typically Blue if he started Red), where you can catch him isolated without his passive fully stacked and force a fight or burn his Smite.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not let Nocturne activate his W to block your E dash and then immediately try to all-in — his W spell shield negates your gap-close and he will win the short trade that follows.
- Respect the window after his W is on cooldown to re-engage, and avoid fighting him when his passive shroud stacks are high, as the bonus attack speed and movement speed make him significantly stronger in short burst trades.
