Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight against Kindred due to your raw burst damage and self-healing from W, which outpaces Kindred's sustained ranged damage at that stage; Kindred cannot kite you effectively in the river terrain if you land your E gap-close.
- From level 6, you win a 1v1 if you can force the fight in a tight jungle corridor where Kindred cannot freely kite, as your W healing and relentless chase make you nearly unkillable in sustained melee range, but you must avoid fighting in open areas where Kindred's range advantage becomes decisive.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Kindred will likely run a standard full clear starting at their bot-side buff, prioritizing early mark stacks by contesting scuttle and looking to invade your jungle when marks spawn on your camps; expect them to path toward your red or blue buff when a mark appears there, as securing marks is core to their win condition.
Invade or Not
- You should invade Kindred at their second buff (approximately 3:15–3:30) after completing your own first clear, as Kindred's early dueling is weak before they accumulate marks and build items; target whichever buff is on the opposite side of the map from where Kindred started, as they will be low and isolated.
- If a mark spawns on one of their camps, that is an ideal invade window since Kindred will be forced to contest it, making their position predictable.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not blindly chase Kindred into open areas or dragon/baron pit without vision, as their Q mobility and ranged auto-attacks allow them to kite you to death if you are not in melee range; burning your E on a miss in an open space effectively ends the fight in their favor.
