Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you have a meaningful range advantage and your E-Q-W combo deals significant burst if Q lands, but Vladimir's passive gives him enough HP buffer and his W makes him untargetable at critical moments, so you do not reliably kill him before 6 unless he misplays W cooldown.
  • Post-6, your R sets up a kill window but Vladimir's R also grants him a massive heal and damage amp, meaning if he uses R reactively after yours, he can survive your full combo and out-sustain you in extended skirmishes.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to stack E on him during his CS attempts, then immediately follow with Q stun into W ignite if available — the key is forcing him to use W on the E-Q gap so he eats the W damage without the escape tool.
  • Never commit to a full combo unless his W is on cooldown, as untargeting your Q mid-rotation wastes your entire damage window.

Wave Control

  • You want to push the wave consistently to deny Vladimir free CS under tower and force him to take poke while last-hitting, since he has no reliable wave clear early and must walk up into your range.
  • Avoid letting the wave freeze near his tower because he sustains through the poke with Q and you lose your range advantage when he can hug the tower safely.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not throw your Q blindly as an opener — Vladimir will W it reactively and you will have no follow-up stun for the next several seconds while he freely trades back with his Q.
  • Wasting your stun is the single biggest mistake in this lane because your entire kill threat depends on landing it.
